Selkirk Powder Prevails

I just returned from three epic days in Meadow Creek. Selkirk Wilderness Cat-skiing--the oldest cat ski operation in the world--was the place, powder was the dish. We arrived to the worst case scenario: rain up high, stoke on low. But, true to the wise words of photograher Dave Heath, "you never know until you go." So we went, got up high in the alpine and sure, it started puking. In the next two days we had 70cm of snow, bluebird skies, our own cat, lead guide Jayson Remple all to our selves, and some of the best powder skiing mountains on the planet. On assignment for KMC and Powder Magazine, I was joined by a full Kootenay Crew: photographers Peter Moynes and Dave Heath, athletes Mike Hopkins and Pete "I vere vool" Valesik. Just goes to show you that winter doesn't end in March round these parts. Check out my B-Grade digi shots. Keep skiing eh. And always go, even though it looks like it's going to suck like a lollipop.
