Arrival

So, our magazines finally arrived today. Our production manager almost died when the forklift snapped unloading the magazines into Peter's garage, but she managed to scurry out of the way just in time. A testament to how fat our magazines are this issue I guess. You'll find them at stores all over the Kootenays in the coming days. Our distribution manager in Vancouver already has them distributed at outdoor shops all the way up to Pemberton. We hope everyone enjoys this issue and encourage you to send in your feedback.

I also wanted to let people know that I'm involved in organizing an auction to create a trust fund for our good friend Noa Bokser, who's father passed away skiing last winter. It's a sad tale but our wonderful community is rallying to make the best out of a tragic situation. Visit www.careybokserauction.com in the coming days and place a bid on some truly wicked stuff, donated by some of the world's coolest outdoor athletes and companies.

Blogging On

Well, our first blog. Is this a big deal? Hard to tell. The whole world seems to be blogging here and blogging there. So we're in. We're very excited about our upcoming issue which we get from the printer tomorrow (Friday, November 10). This will be our biggest issue to date at a whopping 84 pages. That's 20 pages bigger than our last issue. We've got stories from Gerry Lopez, Chic Scott and Pat Morrow, not to mention a gaggle of great photographs from lensmen all over the world. Thanks a ton to our advertisers for believing in KMC. There's a ton of great companies in this neck of the woods, check them out on our new links page. You could say we're off to the races now.
